UN Uses Blockchain to Expand Free Healthcare to Africa

Crypto to the world. It has been reported that the United nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) will partner with blockcahin-based telemedicine and telepsychology firm Dot.com to expand free basic healthcare servicds across Eastern Africa.

Dot.com is reported to have operated in 20 countries and plans to expand its data and healthcare service system using an ERC20-compatible token. Users are able to tokenise their person data and sell it in return for access to 24/7 telemedicine and tele-psychology platforms.

The UN partnership should allow for the platform to be provided tot he African market by the second quarter of 2019. This is likely to increase its users from 180,000 users on account of the significantly high population of Africa.
