17 Year Old Ghanaian, Elisha May be One of Africa’s Youngest Cryptocurrency Entrepreneurs

17 year old Elisha Owusu Akyaw is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Token Media (now BlockXAfrica), a cryptocurrency marketing firm made in 2017. Despite being relatively new, BlockXAfrica has been able to reach great feats in the blockchain space, helping raise over $40 million in token sales through its marketing services for blockchain projects.

Elisha first learned of cryptocurrencies through a publication on Aljazeera in 2014. Years before this, he was surfing the web at 12, trying to learn the ins and outs of computers. Today, Elijah continues to make bold moves in the blockchain space. He believes that only time matters in the adoption of cryptocurrencies by Ghana.

Elisha, with reference to his plans for the blockchain space in Africa stated,

“The future of cryptocurrencies in Africa is bright as it has moved from just being currencies into various useful platforms that will be essential to the African continent. I’m currently working on putting together an event on cryptocurrencies with a particular focus on regulations, the future of cryptocurrencies and how they can help Africa,”

In addition to events and giving solid advice to blockchain projects, Elisha has a new startup , CoinNewsLive which provides the latest news on blockchain, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and financial technology.

As more and more young Africans learn about blockchain and cryptocurrencies, more young visionaries like Elisha will spring up across the continent, ready to set the foundation for a greater Africa. It’s only a matter of time.
